The museum is home to the Old Orchard Beach Historical Society and features historical memorabilia from the Old Orchard Beach area collected since the 17th century. .

Libby Memorial Library offers enjoyment for local residents of Old Orchard Beach and tourists alike.  Free paperback books, magazines, wi-fi and 1/2 hour visitor computer time available.  We also have outside movies in the park.  Check our web site for events and movie times.

The Fire Department consists of nine full-time fire fighters, who are members of the Local 2247 I.A.F.F.  We work a 56 hour week and each shift is made up of 4 Fire/Rescue personnel, which consists of three full-time fire fighters, one being a paramedic and a part-time EMT who works a 12 or 24 hour shift. We are supplemented, in fire fighting, by a force of more than 30 on-call fire fighters.

The Old Orchard Beach Police Department, in partnership with the community, will work together to ensure that all laws are fairly and equitably enforced, treat all of the town's inhabitants with courtesy and respect, and strive together to create a safe place to live for our residents and guests.

The City Theater in Biddeford, Maine is a fully restored 1890s opera house offering theater, music, dance and more to the surrounding southern Maine communities. The Scarborough Fire Department provides fire protection, advanced life support, emergency medical services and search and rescue services to the residents and visitors of Scarborough and the ocean waters along our coastline. Deep in tradition, the department started as a volunteer organization in 1914, and has grown to a combination full-time, call, and per-diem department.

The Scarborough Historical Society and Museum provides a variety of services to the community. Their collection of historical artifacts are often utilized by members of the community and students working on history projects. The Scarborough Historical Society has an extensive collection of antique farming equipment as well as genealogical records for the area.

For over one hundred years, the Scarborough Public Library has served as the common ground and heart of the community. Today, the 12,000 square foot library is not only limited to books and reference materials, but also provides high-speed Internet access on 12 computers, has audio-visual reference material and provides greater access to information using online library databases. Borrowing privileges are free to Scarborough citizens, students and employees.
