Community: House Of Worship

Congregation Beth Israel in Old Orchard Beach is one of the oldest synagogues in Maine. It has a rich history of serving the Jewish community and is full of song and prayer. Now it still has a small but vibrant community that continues this rich tradition and is happy to share it.

St. Luke's is a Catholic chapel that is open seasonally to serve those enjoying the warm summer weather at Old Orchard Beach. From June to September

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Interdenominational Sunday services feature speakers with national reputations. The Temple services have also been known throughout the years for their outstanding music program, featuring the fifty voice Temple Choir with Jerry Scheinfeld as director and organist. In addition, the Temple Junior Choir , the Temple Bell Choir, and the Temple Brass Ensemble enhance the services.

United Methodist is a family church located in one of the best known resort communities along the Maine coast and has a long history of involvement in our community.

The Blue Point Congregational Church welcomes everyone to worship services on Sunday morning. Worship services are a great opportunity to connect with God and members of the community as you share in God's Word together.

Coastal Community Church is a Wesleyan Church with the goal of teaching all people how to live the way Christ intended. Childcare is available.

The First Congregational Church of Scarborough seeks to build community among its parishioners as they learn about and live in God's Word.

The Scarborough Free Baptist Church works to discover the gifts of the Holy Spirit and uses them to serve others in accordance with God's plan for us.

SouthCoast Community Church seeks to bring those of all ages and backgrounds into a relationship with God.

St. Nicholas Episcopal Church seeks to nurture a community that, inspired by the loving kindness of Jesus Christ, welcomes all people, worships God, discerns God's will for us individually and collectively, and responds to the needs of the world through concern for hunger, peace and social justice.

United with the Catholic tradition, the Parish of Saint Maximilian Kolbe is a community of the faithful deeply committed to witnessing the gospel of Jesus Christ in love and action so that the lives of those touched by the Parish may take on the Person of Christ.

The Rock is a non-denominational, Christian church that is turning the people of Maine into wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ. During the service we also feature an exciting program for children.

The people of The United Baptist Church of Saco, believe that their primary mission is to glorify the one true God --Father, Son and Holy Spirit-- and advance the Kingdom of Heaven.

 The Anchor Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental Baptist Church where the Bible is believed and preached.

The Biddeford Church of Christ welcomes all to come worship.

The New Life Christian Fellowship strives to be a worshiping community that lives by God's Word and impacts the world by fulfilling God's mission.

The Second Congregational Church has been a part of the Biddeford community for over 150 years. The members of the congregation strive to serve God by helping others and have partnered with a program called Bon Appetit which helps to feed the homeless and less fortunate.

This parish originated 1870, when it was formed to provide a spiritual home for the French-Canadian migrants to the area.  St. Joseph's ministers to over 1,800 families in the Biddeford area. The exterior of the church was recently restored thanks to the planning and generosity of the community. The interior will also be renovated to become a spiritual home for our parishioners.
